Working with Tanya has been a truly enriching part of my creative development. In scene with her, I’m struck by how vigorously she works with text, chasing the raw truths of life buried in the story. She approaches directing with that same intensity, digging into the inner layers of script and character with a relentless commitment to high-quality storytelling. Her curiosity for human behaviour is infectious; she expects to be challenged in her own work and, in turn, challenges me to go deeper. She explores the nuance of each moment with openness—never settling, always uncovering something new to play with. Brave, bold, clear, and direct, Tanya pushes me toward deeper truth and authenticity in every interaction.

I just wanted to say thank you! I feel like my acting has improved in a bigger way since you've taken over classes. Your way of directing, explaining and helping us through the work has bought a lot of clarity and I feel I'm picking up techniques that actually work for me for once. Just wanted to say thank you!

Coached by Tanya on a Shakespeare play, I felt both grounded and challenged by her. Her research on the play and its underlining themes gave her coaching/directing such a passionate kick!
~ Courtney Miller
Tanya brought experience, attention to detail and a clear vision, while guiding many of the actors, including myself, through the text and character creation. Throughout the rehearsal process, I leaned on her mastery of Shakespeare’s language, as well as her sharp instincts for story and character.
Thankfully, Tanya Schneider agreed to help out and let me tell you, she is as talented a director as she is an actor and honestly, we couldn't have done it without her.
